ABOUT ME
“I guess I’m just an old mad scientist at bottom.
Give me an underground laboratory, half a dozen atom smashers, and a
beautiful girl in a diaphanous veil waiting to be turned into a
chimpanzee, and I care not who writes the nation’s
laws.”
--S. J. Perelman
I received my Ph.D. in Economics from the University of California at Berkeley
I have a B.A. in Economics from Cornell University
Before becoming a professor, I worked outside academe:
- As an economist: at an antitrust consulting firm, and at the Federal Communications Commission
- As a marketing professional: at a satellite services firm, and at a high-tech startup company
In case you missed it, my CV is here.
In my spare time, I indulge my interests in running, hiking, cooking, skiing, astronomy, short-fiction writing, and the environment.
